Camille entered a dA contest. The world's going to end, Hell's going to freeze over and the sun's going to burn out. Maybe she'll wean herself off Diet Coke, throw up and go a day without mentioning giantesses or Valium, too.

Anyway, I couldn't resist--I've been wanting to redo the Primary since who knows when. When I drew the one to the left, I had originally wanted the paint splats all over him but just couldn't make it happen because I didn't know how. So I tried again with the one on the right, and lo and behold, paint.
The anatomy on the left before is shaky at best, the proportions are weird, and the pose is downright unnatural. There's also no highlights. |: Bleh.

I wish I could have gotten the new one's saturation right--he's a bit too pink. Regardless I'm super happy with it. 8]

Yaaay :3 You know I loved the old version :3 I even have this guy somewhere in the depths of my gallery, damn that was sooo long ago :) The anatomy's great, especially on the legs :heart: And the paint is cool, reminds me of my old dragon Pictus :3 I think, especially when viewed as a thumbnail the old one looks a tad more badass, but the anatomy and better contrast against the background more than makes up for it in the new one :)

Eehee, I do still love the old version and yeah, I agree--I kinda feel like the new one's pose is missing some of the old one's... bite? Dunno--regardless I like them both for different reasons. :D
